Video Game Packaging

The simple, almost minimal look of the Neverwinter Nights brand contrasts with the elaborate, fantasy-based artwork that’s a hallmark of video games in this genre. My design for Hordes of the Underdark reintroduces imagery in an understated manner that doesn’t jeopardize the existing brand and at the same time addresses a dimension of the product that’s attractive to potential buyers.

The variety of content included in the Neverwinter Nights Gold collection required a different strategy. For this project I focused on production techniques–specifying holographic foil and tinted varnishes for the printed boxes–in order to convey a sense of added value.
